Welcome to the Dragonfest 2021 Virtual Retreat! This year’s theme, Deepen, Grow, Evolve, ushers in more than 35 years of Dragonfest. Connect with your spiritual roots as well as fellow Pagans through rituals, workshops, and other forums. With more than 35 years of building community, raising energy, and deepening spiritual connections, you are a part of Colorado’s longest running Pagan event.
How will this virtual retreat work?
We will be using Zoom to connect you with live rituals, workshops, and other Dragonfest events. We are excited by this new format and hope you’ll have fun with it. Connect over WiFi from your garden, your backyard, or your kitchen table.
- Get your Dragonfest 2021 Program for details on this year’s retreat and a list of events.
- Download Zoom and create an account.
- Make sure you can log in to this site with the username and password you set up during registration. You will only have access to Dragonfest events if you are logged in.
- Look through the events and note the ones you would like to participate in. While logged in, you can click the heart icon to save an event to your wishlist.
- On each event page, you will see an Overview and Curriculum tab. The overview tab contains information about the event, including day and time. The Curriculum tab contains a link to the event.
- You will need to click the green Start Now button to access the event link.
- Please note that event links will only be available 10 minutes before the event start time.
- When your Workshop or Ritual is about to begin, connect using a camera and microphone equipped computer or mobile device.
- If you do not have a camera or microphone, you will still have options to connect using your computer or device, and a phone.
- Enjoy a relaxing, informative spiritual retreat, organized and put on by volunteers in this Dragonfest Community.
Virtual Fire Circles
Keep a look out for Virtual Fire Circles that will happen throughout the retreat. These special sessions are a social space for you to chat, share, dance, and connect with other attendees in real time. Because of Zoom’s audio delay, drumming and singing is best done individually or by taking turns. Enjoy the space respectfully with no unsolicited personal contact. All Virtual Fire Circles should be considered All Ages – there is no version of Freedom Fire Circle for the virtual retreat.

Nudity Policy for Virtual Dragonfest Dragonfest
Dragonfest will adhere to clothing required rules for all our virtual activities. This means anyone participating or watching our activities for 2021 should wear clothing that meets the “beachwear minimum” standard. Zoom, the application we are using to host our virtual event has specific rules of propriety that we must maintain. Since we cannot control everyone’s personal viewing experience, we need to be aware that, at any time, we might have a child incidentally viewing a workshop or ritual event. We are not responsible for personal fashion choices.
